Student Pickup Guidelines

How to pick up your student at the end of the day?

Here are the guiding principles for picking up your students at the end of the day. These guidelines have been created to offer safety for all students.

Front of the building:

  • If you want to park in front of East Farms, please come into the building to pick up your child.  We worry about students crossing in front of the buses in order to meet you on the grass.

Primary side of the building (east side):

  • For those of you picking up from the primary side of the building, please park and come in the building or wait by the doors if possible. Older children can be very helpful getting younger children to your car; please let us know if your child needs a buddy.

Upper grade side of the building, parking lot (west side):

  • Students may not be in the parking lot unless escorted by an adult.
  • If you want to pick up your child on this side of the building, please pull your car up to the crossing guard if you have seen you child waiting. We have two lanes for this purpose.
  • Students will be waiting against the wall until you are at the front of the line.
  • Do not park or stop on the in the area closest to the building, others will not be able to get around you.
  • Our crossing guard will have both flags up when students are crossing.
  • The crossing guard will nod or make eye contact when it is ok to proceed through the crosswalk.
  • Thank you your help with dismissal time. We want everyone to be safe. Tammy Fuller
